Mathematics has always been a passion of mine.
Throughout high school and college so far, I have spent many nights helping people with their math homework. One student I tutored in ACT math brought up his score up from low 20s to a 34 and ended up graduating 3rd in his class of almost 200.

For one on one's, I want to understand upfront everything that the student needs help with. This will help me pace my lesson and ensure that the tutoring is done as efficiently as possible. I know that teachers oftentimes go really quickly and explain concepts confusingly, but I will work with a student as long as it takes until he or she understands whatever it is that they need help with. Even if a student is very behind in a subject, I can get them where they need to be with time.
