About Jennifer
During my undergraduate career, I developed a passion for learning and teaching by assisting in physics lab sections and working in the math and physics tutor labs. There, I understood that to really know a subject, you must be able to take its complexities and simplify them down for a newcomer to understand. These skills were expounded upon in grad school as a full-fledged teacher of mathematics, which I continue to this day at the community college level. I am also passionate about music and other forms of art, as well as their connections to the sciences.

Lessons will be given using an active-learning approach. Material will be scaffolded, starting with examples that the student will work through using their prior knowledge, then led to overarching ideas before applying formulas and theorems. Being a recent graduate myself, I understand what makes a lesson stick with a student, and how to approach difficult material to alleviate any reservations a student may have towards learning. I can tutor high school to college level mathematics and physics, including trigonometry, algebra, precalculus, calculus, and more!
