About Charles
I grew up loving math and physics, which led me to pursue engineering at Arts et Métiers ParisTech in France and later a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley. Outside of academics, I've worked on projects ranging from thermal systems for data centers to building a handwriting robot with Arduino. I enjoy taking complex ideas apart and making them simple. I started tutoring during my studies in Paris and found I genuinely enjoy the moment a student finally understands something that felt impossible a week before. I'm patient, structured, and easy to talk to, and I want my students to feel confident asking questions, even the ones they think are 'too basic.'

I'm an engineering graduate from UC Berkeley (MEng) and Arts et Métiers ParisTech, with hands-on experience teaching math and physics to middle school, high school, and engineering-prep students. My lessons focus on building real understanding, not just memorizing formulas we work through problems step by step, identify exactly where confusion starts, and practice until concepts click. Last year, 5 out of 6 of my students achieved top honors in their year-end exams. I adapt my teaching style to each student's pace and learning style, and I'm comfortable working in both French and English.
