About Gabriel
I am currently at the end of my Junior year at a 4-year college. I transferred in after completing my Associate's Degree in Math in 1 year at my local county college. Since middle school I have been in accelerated math courses and participated in many competitions since, placing among the top 50 nationally top 10 in the state. I have always been the person in class people go to when they need help learning the material, so while I have little experience in getting paid for tutoring, I've been doing it for almost a decade.

I start by doing a quick recap of concepts that will be used in the lesson. These concepts will all be things that I know the student is familiar with. Then I introduce the new concept that will be taught. Through a series of guided questions I connect the ideas the student is familiar with to the new one. I like to emphasize the perspective that all knowledge is related somehow and that new information should always be taught as an extension of what the student already knows.
