About Raika
I have taught in a classroom for over two years and have tutored students of a variety of ages for over five. I have taught hundreds of students from a variety of ages from middle school up to college age. I studied Mathematics Education at Purdue University.

I am very passionate about teaching and believe anyone can learn math! I love being able to break down a complex idea in a way that is accessible to all learners. I believe being a teacher is becoming a master of such a thing. I have experience tutoring one-on-one and find this much more rewarding at times than teaching a whole class. I am extremely patient and love to use my creativity to explain and create a math experience that will make someone go "aha!". I think math is usually seen as being overly complicated or requiring extensive memorization to become proficient in it, but I believe anyone is capable of learning math and there are so many ways to think about math to begin with.

For online tutoring my rate is 20$ an hour
For in person tutoring my rate is 25-35$ an hour depending on distance traveled and subject matter
I do offer discounts if tutoring multiple students at the same time!
