About Matthew
I have a bachelor's degree in secondary education, and a master's degree in mathematics. While I love and appreciate mathematics, I don't consider myself a mathematician, I am an educator first and foremost. I love to help students overcome difficul math concepts, and help them gain confidence in their abilities.

I find it important to give students the tools they need to figure out problems on their own, and not just give them the answers without them understanding it. Breaking down the concepts in a simple and understandble way, giving them the confidence to work on their own. I usually will walk them through a couple of basic examples, and then have them try to apply it themselves.
