About Mike
I have been a teacher for roughly 30 years. While not all of that time has been in the traditional classroom setting, many of those years were.
I bring my unique sense of humor to the teaching process, because I firmly believe that a lesson that is fun is a lesson that is memorable. I also will bring positivity to every lesson, and will work as much on building your confidence as on building your skills.

As someone who has taught math at just about every level, from working one-on-one as a resource teacher for P-8, up to Grade 12, I can bring my knowledge and experience to your child. I won't just show them how to do the classwork, I will help investigate why they are having issues, and work to fill in the gaps in their understanding.
My philosophy is simple. Every student is intelligent, even if their strength is not mathematics. I will work to use their intelligence to help the math make sense. We will start with a warm-up to make sure they are ready to learn, and to help build the confidence that is sometimes missing. From there the lesson will be specifically tailored to the student's needs and learning style.
I will bring positivity and fun to the learning of math for students throughout their learning journey.
