About Cecilia
I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. I find great satisfaction in teaching and take pride in helping students build both their skills and their confidence. My goal is to make math approachable, empowering, and even enjoyable.

I believe firmly in meeting a student where they are. Many students lack self-esteem when it comes to math, but when a student sees and practices examples at their skill level, they gain both confidence and mathematical prowess faster than they can imagine. I don't believe in memorizing symbols and patterns you don't understand. I believe in learning to think like a mathematician. I have been teaching calculus at the university level for three years, and have been tutoring students working on other high school math (like algebra or prepping for the SATs) for over a decade.
