I have known Girish Khanna Sir for over 12 years now. I first met him when I was in my senior secondary school, grade 8 to be precise. I had been an underconfident student in math classes at school almost all the time. The first thing that Sir ever taught me was to trust my capabilities and approach a problem without being scared. He made class room sessions extremely engaging and enjoyable by making them more interactive and less formal. He would approach a problem in the form of a realistic case study with shorter lectures and longer discussion periods. This was helpful especially for a person who would be scared to even approach a concept. He instilled strong foundations of concepts by giving more test series and explaining what went wrong at each step giving individual attention to each member in the learning group. Every new concept was introduced instilling a lot of curiosity among the students.
