About Élise
My passion for mathematics developed from a fascination with patterns, logic, and structured reasoning. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I studied advanced mathematical concepts alongside effective teaching strategies. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math, helping them overcome anxiety and build confidence. I teach with empathy, patience, and adaptability, ensuring explanations align with each learner’s pace and learning style. I use visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step reasoning to make abstract ideas accessible. Many students who initially struggle gradually become confident and independent thinkers. Outside teaching, I continue refining instructional methods and creating supportive learning materials. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because it equips learners with analytical skills and confidence that extend far beyond the classroom.

In my lessons, I guide students through elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math using structured explanations that highlight logical patterns and conceptual connections. This approach helps learners build confidence while developing a deeper understanding of how mathematics works as a system.
Lesson plans are carefully tailored to each learner’s academic level and goals. Beginners focus on number sense, arithmetic fluency, and confidence-building problem-solving exercises. Intermediate learners strengthen algebraic thinking, geometric reasoning, and multi-step problem-solving skills. Advanced learners focus on SAT math strategies, time management, and flexible reasoning techniques. Each lesson incorporates guided practice, discussion, and reflection to ensure thorough comprehension.
Math lessons also help learners develop patience, analytical thinking, and perseverance. As confidence grows, students approach challenging problems calmly and systematically.
