About Marlo
My interest in mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, numbers, and logical reasoning. This passion encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics followed by a Master’s Degree in Pure Mathematics. Over the past 7 years, I have helped students strengthen their mathematical understanding through patient guidance and supportive teaching. I enjoy simplifying difficult concepts into clear explanations that help learners gain confidence step by step. Watching students improve their problem-solving skills and overcome mathematical fear continues inspiring me as a tutor. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and calm learning instead of memorization alone. I believe students perform better when they feel supported and comfortable during lessons.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with learners preparing for school exams, competitive assessments, and university coursework. These experiences have helped me understand the importance of flexibility and patience in teaching different learning styles. I use guided examples, structured practice activities, and visual explanation methods to help students progress steadily. I also encourage learners to explain their reasoning clearly because communication strengthens mathematical understanding.
