About Luna
My passion for maths grew from the satisfaction of turning confusing problems into clear, solvable steps. This interest led me to complete an M.Sc in Quantitative Education, where I studied how students learn mathematical reasoning most effectively. Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped learners of all levels improve their confidence in elementary school maths, middle school maths, algebra, geometry, and SAT maths through patient, structured instruction. I believe maths should feel accessible, not intimidating. My teaching style focuses on reducing stress, explaining concepts slowly, and providing multiple approaches so students always have a path that makes sense to them. I guide hesitant learners gently until they begin to recognise their own problem-solving abilities—a transformation I find deeply meaningful. I prioritise encouragement, clarity, and supportive practice because these build long-term confidence. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring mathematical puzzles, studying advanced problem-solving techniques, and staying updated on new methods in maths education. These interests help me design lessons that feel modern, engaging, and practical. Teaching maths brings me immense fulfilment because I witness students grow into confident thinkers capable of approaching challenges with a calm, analytical mindset.

Mathematics becomes far more manageable when students understand it as a set of patterns rather than a list of rules. In my lessons, I teach elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths by breaking concepts into clear, approachable steps. I use supportive explanation, visual reasoning, and real-world examples so students feel calm and capable when working through problems instead of pressured or overwhelmed. Instruction is always personalised. Beginners work on number sense, early algebraic thinking, and foundational logic. Intermediate learners build confidence in geometry interpretation, algebraic fluency, proportional reasoning, and multi-step processes. Advanced students prepare for SAT maths, learning strategy, efficiency, error-checking, and deeper conceptual understanding. Each lesson helps students connect ideas across topics, making maths feel structured and intuitive. Maths lessons also help learners grow stronger in patience, problem-solving, and independent thinking. As students become more comfortable with algebra, geometry, and SAT maths strategies, they naturally develop clearer reasoning skills that benefit many other subjects. My goal is to help students feel confident enough to approach mathematical challenges with clarity and self-trust.
