About Ajani
As a college graduate of electrical engineering, I've had a long journey into mathematics. Additionally, while in college and after the time I graduated, I've always tutored students in math; it's something I really love to do. I feel that the reward is, when a student looks me in the eyes being confident about math, and no longer being afraid or confused about their math lessons. Math is its own language, and by passing on my understanding of arithmetic and numeric applications, I feel, I've opened (or began to open) the door of understanding to another individual to be able to speak the math language.

I want to assist my students in building their understanding and confidence in math. Many times math seems overwhelming and too hard to master. That may be because of the lack of a strong foundation.
I start with teaching all my students 3 basic principles of math that can be used at every level. From there, I want to see their view of math, and ask about math they're involved with now. Then I'd assess them to see if they are proficient at their current level of study; if so, then I'd teach them a variety of ways to apply the math, and what to expect at the next level. If they're struggling at their current stage, then I'd review prior levels of math with them to reinforce their understanding before going forward. Afterward, help them gain mastery at their current level of math.
