About Joe Spike
I am a recent graduate of the University of Leeds, leaving with a first-class degree in Physics with Astrophysics, having spent my final year on a cutting edge research project. I have previous experience teaching classes in-school and tutoring at home and online.
As well as spending my time on maths and science, I study and have worked professionally in theatre, so I have a strong focus on communication and engagement. This always makes sure my lessons are enjoyable and interesting, and as far from a dull textbook lecture as possible.

Learning is about much more than memorising facts and figures! My approach is based around forming an intuitive understanding of maths or physics. No more boring memory tests, no more bland lectures.
I strive to always explain concepts in the most understandable way possible, linking things to day-to-day life, using practical examples, and providing different ways of thinking about problems and ideas to help YOU learn in whichever way is easiest for you.
Lessons are 30-60 minutes, depending on the topic, with longer sessions available with rest breaks between. GCSE and A-level tuition covered, with KS3 syllabus lessons available upon request.
