About Poppy
I am a GCSE student with a predicted grade 7+ in maths and FSMQ (free standing maths qualification) going on to take maths and further maths at A levels. I love maths and all the logic behind it and hope I can help others understand it too. While I understand that not everyone enjoys maths, I hope to provide fun and educational lessons to students.

I believe in learning from our surroundings, especially our mistakes. I think it is important to teach the methods in maths as well as the logic and thinking behind it. I want my students to be independent but never too afraid to ask for help. Hoping to teach over the summer holidays, half terms and some weekends.

First lesson includes: getting to know the student and what they want to learn; meeting parents so they know their child is in safe hands; discussing dates and times of sessions; getting to know my rules for online lessons and how google meet works (chat function, microphones, cameras, breakout rooms, hands up); and a short taster session.
