About Will
I studied Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-level, and am currently studying Mathematics at Southampton University. I have been primarily been tutoring GCSE and A-level maths but am also very confident in tutoring Physics. After maintaining a good flow of students for tutoring and working in a school for 2 years I have acquired skills essential for teaching and have gained resources which are useful to students of all years. I enjoy teaching all aspects of Maths ranging from Pure and Applied in A-level down to Basics of Algebra in KS2.

I find the best way to teach Maths is by working through examples that require techniques from across different aspects of the subject so key methods become second nature.
As a visual and hands on learner I incorporate different styles of teaching, so the structure of my lessons varies from student to student based on their personal preference. With most students I stagger the theory in increments, each time working through a variety of different examples with them, testing all aspects of the topic and only progressing once they are confident. Between sessions I set questions for complete to engrain the new material ready for the next lesson – this way I can keep the lessons as enjoyable as possible!
