About Nicole
I used to struggle with maths when I got to high school, and had a teacher who was so passionate about it that I started to pay more attention, ask for help, and practice often. I got better and started to enjoy maths more. I had extra maths lessons myself throughout high school. Initially to get me to pass, and then to push myself as close to 90/100% as I could get. So that being said, I would love to help someone else grow more confident in their own maths skills, and hence have more confidence in their own ability to do hard things. As long as you are willing to put in the effort and do past papers (or selected parts of), I am happy to help you for whatever your goal might be. Experience wise I tutored a student in matric in 2022. I like to help friends and family tackle problems, and after leaving high school was offered to take over my tutors' extra maths school (which I didn't do because I wanted to study away from my home town). I have an exciting attitude towards learning and hope to instill that in you as well. It's okay to struggle with things, the most important thing is identifying that and how to help yourself - which is why you are here! - So well done to you ;)

I like to cover the theory or approach to solving the problem at hand - to identify any shortfalls and make sure the student has an efficient understanding as a base. Then select problems to attempt together, and other ones for you to try yourself. I will always be available for help you may need when tackling problems. I believe that in order to learn you need to practice, so I encourage that - and am happy to help with any questions big or small on how to tackle and solve a problem as you work through them.
