About Vukona
My name is Vukona, but I’m widely referred to as “Vee”. My experience with tutoring does not come from jobs, but from in-home experiences as I grew up helping my siblings with school work while my parents were working, and attending tutoring lessons myself. I started tutoring English because of my genuine love for it (Fun Fact: I actually write and dissect Poetry as a hobby), and I would love to share that knowledge with my students as this subject is only enjoyable once you’ve understood the concept behind them. I’m a good communicator and friendly, however that doesn’t mean I won’t hold you accountable if you don’t do your work.

I understand that many students don’t enjoy English Home Language classes because they find them “boring”, however my form of teaching cannot be compared to in-class teaching as I teach every child uniquely, according to how I observe they learn best. I teach this way because the point of the lesson is not just to feed them the information but to help them actually understand what they are being presented with. However, this means I can only teach learning level (still in school) student and requires me to build a relationship with them as it makes it easier for me to identify their learning habits.
