About Matthew
As a student at McGill University I've had the opportunity to intern with a research lab - this taught me the importance of collaboration and guided problem solving, as well as how to analyze and present problems as they come. I wish to encourage students to become lifelong learners and strengthen their ability to tackle problems as they come - which is especially important in STEM based courses!

Through my lesson plan, I will simplify complex problems with step-by-step problem solving ensuring active student participation. I will use a variety of resources including past exam papers and workbook problems. For subjects such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, and math, I emphasize and encourage pattern recognition, conceptual understanding, and practice questions to build both confidence and long-term retention while adapting explanations to each student’s style of learning. I will also teach habits to ensure proper timing during exams.
