About Troy
I'm Troy, a Mechanical Engineering student and TA for a university-level manufacturing course. I've tutored students across a range of ages and subjects — from middle school math up through college-level calculus and physics — and I've coached youth soccer, so working with people of different backgrounds and skill levels is something I'm used to.

I don't lecture. I find where your understanding breaks down and work from there — most of the time it's not the hard concept that's the problem, it's something foundational underneath it. Sessions start with you showing me what you've tried, we work through problems together, and I ask questions more than give answers. By the end you should be able to solve a similar problem on your own.
I work with students of all ages and levels, from middle school math through college-level calculus and physics. If you've hit a wall and need someone to actually slow down and work through it with you rather than just show you the answer, that's what I do.
