About Ria
I am a future medical student who has a Bachelor of Science Degree. I have been tutoring for 4+ years in groups. I have also helped about 3-5 individuals personally, one who raised their grade by 2 letters after we finished. I have tutored at my University as a T.A. for Arithmetic, Algebra, and Chemistry as well.

I am a person who has been through the hoops. I have been tutoring throughout my life as I was always 3 years ahead of myself in math throughout elementary, middle, and high school. I was Valedictorian so in National Honor Society I volunteered to tutor as well. Then in college I became a T.A. for these subjects. One thing I have learned from my experience is that specific methods of teaching are based on the professors we have. I make an effort to teach steps and material based on the specific notes given to my students as sometimes if we teach how we learned it confuses the students when they get into class. I also try to gear my teaching to how the student learns best. Sometimes it is by example, sometimes it is visual; I try to accommodate my students based on their unique styles. Overall, I am an enthusiastic teacher who prepares notes ahead of time for my tutoring sessions to ensure I can answer questions and teach properly in the time given.
