About Mason
I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from UCLA, and I am now studying to become a doctor. I have extensive tutoring experience across multiple scientific disciplines (biology, chemistry, math, etc.). I work well with children, adolescents, and young adults of all ages, and therefore, I can teach anywhere from an elementary to an undergraduate level.

As an individual, I am extremely personable, patient, adaptable, and organized, which allows me to understand and meet an individual's specific needs through a personalized approach. Therefore, tutoring sessions are variable. For students that learn best through observation, I can provide detailed lectures on confusing topics. For students that learn by doing, I can develop active learning activities. For example, for a student that was an avid fan of Harry Potter, I created the Trigwizard Tournament, a set of trigonometry questions designed to mimic the Triwizard Tournament that Harry competes in at Hogwarts.
