About Amira
Hi! I’m Amira, a current medical student offering tutoring in NCEA Science and Biology. I achieved an ATAR of 99.45, gained NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3 with Excellence and was a recipient of the UoA Top Achievers Scholarship, so I understand what it takes to do well in exams and how overwhelming exam prep can feel.
I want to teach because I know how overwhelming science can feel when it doesn’t click straight away. My goal is to make science feel less stressful, more understandable, and maybe even a little fun.

I focus on making science feel less scary and more easily understood. I’m especially passionate about biology and human science, and I love explaining things by breaking comple concepts into simple bite-sized pieces. I am open to tutoring in premed papers including BIOSCI107, CHEM110, POPHLTH101 and MEDSCI142.
My lessons are supportive, clear, and tailored to each student. I have past experience in tutoring and coaching from Year 5 to Year 13. Whether you need help catching up, aiming for better grades, or just wanting the subject to finally make sense, I’d love to help.
