About Poppy

I want to tutor because I know how helpful it can be to have someone break challenging topics down into manageable steps and work through them methodically, even from the very beginning when something feels difficult. I want to give students the support and confidence that I found so valuable myself.

I’m passionate about science and am currently studying Medicine at university. Outside of studying, I enjoy playing netball and cooking in my free time. I’m also very responsive to messages and queries, and I’m always happy to help students when they need extra support.

English

Hi, I’m Poppy! I take a clear, structured approach to tutoring. I break down specification points from the specifications into simple, precise sections and work through challenging topics step-by-step, making sure students understand the key knowledge and takeaways before moving on.

Lessons are usually 45–75 minutes, but can be adapted to suit the student. I have experience tutoring at school and working at a science camp. I teach GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as younger students below GCSE level.

My goal is to make lessons engaging and help students build both their understanding and confidence!
