About Maria

I graduated from Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience Major) from the University of Melbourne and am currently completing my post grad studies. I have a lot of experience teaching secondary and university age students because I have also been volunteering as a youth leader since I was in first year uni. I am able to tutor in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology.

About the lesson

I really like finding out what is hindering students to learn particular topics and helping them to overcome that problem because I find that so many students are really bright but may just have difficulty understanding a topic at school because of the way in which it has been explained to them or because they lack confidence in that subject area. I think that many times a student's aptitude might be a lot higher than what it may appear but sometimes a little patience is needed to work through the concept.

Private tutoring lessons with Maria are very productive.
My knowledge of maths have improved drastically ever since I took up lessons with her. Maria is very charismatic and upbeat, but also patient and understanding. She guided me step by step through the concepts I was struggling with.
I would recommend her to others because her energy is infectious and her teaching style is motivating.
