About Natalie

Hi! I’m Natalie Brooks, and I believe piano learning should help students grow creatively, emotionally, and confidently over time. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students strengthen musical confidence through supportive mentoring systems and personalized live coaching methods. I studied at University of Colorado Boulder, where I developed advanced knowledge in music performance and educational instruction. My teaching style is expressive, patient, and highly student-focused so learners feel motivated while improving naturally and comfortably. I was honored with the Crystal Sonata Growth Medal and the Ivory Music Mentor Crown for helping students strengthen piano creativity and expressive performance through mentorship-driven coaching systems. Outside teaching, I enjoy composing cinematic piano pieces, exploring soundtrack-inspired music, experimenting with layered keyboard sounds, and mentoring students interested in creative musical careers.

About the lesson

Welcome to a creative and mentorship-focused one-to-one live piano learning experience where students improve through practical guidance and long-term musical growth systems. My piano lessons are designed to help students strengthen rhythm understanding, creativity, expressive playing, and technical confidence while also building habits that support steady improvement over time. I focus on helping students learn music in a way that feels inspiring, manageable, and personally meaningful instead of rushed or confusing. I will help you understand the topic you have been having trouble with through melody breakdowns, guided rhythm exercises, improvisation activities, and live demonstrations.

Students learn piano, keyboard, and synthesizer while practicing scales, timing control, chord progressions, improvisation, melody creation, expressive phrasing, ear training, and performance preparation. I also provide structured progress plans, personalized feedback, creative exercises, and long-term learning strategies that help students become more confident and independent musicians. Feel free to share your topic before class, and I will design the lesson specially for you according to your musical goals and interests.
