I am a retired scientist with experience in corporate training and teacher of middle school Math and science. I have subbed with Anoka Hennepin School District and Teachers On Call since retirements. I have tutored students from Kindergarten to 65 years old in Math over 20 years.

I find out what the student/s know first and then what they want to know or do not understand. Since most of the tutoring I have done has been middle school math, I know to give them a quick test to see where they are at. Do they know basics? Brushing up on multiplication skills generally is what is needed by most students needing math homework help. We start there or where ever they are behind, then on to homework help or learning new skills.
