About Dalton
I am an engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines. I have tutored math and science for the past 3 years, including algebra, statistics, calculus, and physics. I have taught many students in group settings, and have taught 5 students in long term, one on one tutoring. My students generally see grade improvements and gain a better understanding of the work, on both small and large scales.

To begin with, I tend to have a student walk me through how they are approaching the problem. If I feel that this is a valid approach, I help them through the steps where they are stuck. If they are far from the correct solution, I will do an example problem, and then have the student try using my method, helping them along the way. I tend to let the students do a majority of the work themselves, as this gives them the best understanding of their material.
