About Imesha

Hi, I'm Imesha! I'm currently completing my PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at Monash University, and I have a genuine passion for both chemistry and teaching.

I know chemistry can sometimes feel overwhelming—I remember being a student too! That's why I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations that help students build real understanding and confidence, rather than just memorising formulas.

Whether you're studying Years 7–12 Science, VCE Chemistry, or undergraduate chemistry, my lessons are tailored to your individual learning style, pace and goals. I believe there are no "silly" questions, and I'm always happy to explain concepts in different ways until everything clicks.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student have that "aha!" moment and realise they're capable of solving problems they once found difficult. Whether you're aiming for top marks, preparing for exams, or simply wanting to feel more confident in class, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

About the lesson

Chemistry can seem challenging at first, but with the right guidance it starts to make sense. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and building your confidence.

Every lesson is tailored to your learning style and pace. Whether you're studying Years 7–12 Science, VCE Chemistry or undergraduate chemistry, I'll explain concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand way using simple examples, visual explanations and plenty of worked problems. My focus isn't just on helping you memorise content, but on making sure you truly understand it.
