About Ellie
Hello!
A bit about me. I have a degree in English Literature and Linguistics and I have been teaching English in a secondary setting for four year across all year groups, including A-Level. I also have experience teaching English as an additonal language and can therefore cater for EAL students.
I am currently KS4 coordinator and focus on English Language and Literature GCSE progress attainment in my current school. I have tutoring experience, both online and in person.
I have gained fantastic results with my GCSE and A-Level across the years and believe it is important to differentiate and challenge, depending on age and ability. I love English and I know this motivates students when teaching and tutoring.
I can provide sessions for exam prep, skills sessions, set text support or create sessions that instill a love for learning English (that moves away from the exam based focus!)
I think it is important to have regular dialogue with parents and pupils to ensure good progress and outcomes. Ultimately the time is yours and I will organise the sessions to make the best use of time for you.
