About Lovisa

I’m passionate about empowering students to excel by building their confidence, breaking down complex topics, teaching essential skills, and guiding them toward producing high-quality academic work.

With several years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students at all levels, from elementary through to college. My personalised one-to-one lessons are thoughtfully designed to provide comprehensive support, helping each student feel confident and well-prepared. In addition, I equip my students with practical, social, and organisational skills that foster continuous growth and deliver lasting benefits for their future endeavors.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is highly personalised, focusing on each student’s unique needs, learning style, and goals. I incorporate active learning techniques, such as hands-on practice with writing, critical analysis, and problem-solving exercises, especially helpful for dissertation and essay work.

Each lesson typically lasts around 1 to 2 hours, allowing ample time to explore topics thoroughly without overwhelming the student. My sessions are structured yet flexible, with time for guidance on areas such as structuring arguments, conducting literature reviews, refining methodology, and building strong discussions. I also offer support in preparing for exams, covering key concepts, study strategies, and effective revision techniques.

I hold a Master of Science in Psychology with Distinction and bring experience in data science and analysis. With a background in both research and academic writing, I help students not only grasp core concepts but also build practical skills for academic success.

My lessons are suited for high school (International Baccalaureate) and university students, particularly those working on their extended essays, dissertations, research projects, or academic essays at high school and undergraduate levels.
