About Hugo
I have over ten years of experience as a musician; I recently graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a BA and MA (both 1:1) in Music. My approach to teaching music is wide-ranging and holistic, covering many different styles and repertoires as needed.
I have an excellent academic record in English and History, having achieved high grades in both at A Level and GCSE. I am an avid reader with a broad knowledge of literature and historical periods, allowing me to cover a wide range of topics.

Music lessons:
I am a pianist, composer and songwriter with experience in genres ranging from classical to jazz, pop, funk and bossa nova. Whether you want to write songs, learn piano or brush up on your music theory I can help you to achieve your musical goals with a unique holistic learning experience.
English/History/Music lessons:
My lessons are geared towards students at any level - including GCSE, A Level and University - who are looking for extra input into their learning. I teach to the requirements of assessments and the curriculum whilst also offering a holistic approach that caters to the needs and interests of each student, going beyond what is possible in a busy classroom setting. As an experienced editor and proofreader I can help to hone essays and writing style.
