About Kaila
I’m a student at USC who’s always loved math and finding creative ways to make sense of challenging problems. Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring new study spots around campus, working on personal projects, and helping friends tackle tough assignments. I’m passionate about making learning feel less intimidating and I believe that with the right approach, anyone can build confidence in math.

My tutoring approach focuses on breaking concepts down step by step and helping students understand the “why,” not just the “how.” I usually start sessions by checking in on current topics, reviewing key concepts, and then working through practice problems together for reinforcement.
I tutored high school juniors in geometry for two years, where my approach centered on going through worksheets, explaining each problem clearly, and building confidence through consistent practice. I bring that same structured and supportive style to algebra, precalculus, and calculus I.
I’m patient and clear, and I adapt my explanations to each student’s learning style. My lessons are best for high school and early college students who want extra support, exam prep, or help strengthening their math foundation.
