About Santiago Michael
I am a Native American English teacher, who is half Irish and half Spanish. I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I also have 4 years of experience. I have been teaching English to students of all ages. For the most part I have taught boys and girls from 10 to 18 years. However, I have also taught several adults. For example, I taught English to an art teacher who was preparing for the English Advanced Exam Level C1. I always try to focus my English teaching so that my students speak like a native. I always help my students with their pronunciation skills and try to speak English with them as much as possible. My students are always actively participating in the classroom environment, asking questions and taking note. My preferred teaching method is "learning by doing" or learning by doing. I trust that this is the most effective method because students are able to learn from their own mistakes. The method of learning by doing also allows me to improve students' English comprehension at a faster rate than traditional methods. I also teach English classes on Skype. My class consists of a conversation prepared on a subject. The student will have to complete some basic notes on the topic of the conversation in order to carry out an extensive conversation. In my classes, the enrichment of vocabulary and adjectives is sought in order to speak a level of professional English. We practice especially pronunciation and fluency when speaking in order to give speeches in English or speak in general. There is also the option to help with homework or help translating texts from Spanish to English or vice versa. I am available during the week and during Saturday morning.
