About Kayla

I am a current MSc student at King's College London in the United Kingdom. I had previous teaching experience working as a training officer and mentor for Lancaster Nightline at Lancaster University. My responsibilities included organising, making, and delivering training materials to students aged around 18-25, as well as conducting assessments.

About the lesson

I believe that a tailored teaching style for each client is the most effective and efficient approach to learning a new language. Whether it is a traditional lecture style, an interactive style, or a blended style, I aim to design my classes according to the needs of my students. One thing that will not change is my friendliness and compassion towards every student. My lessons are open to people of any level and age. Additionally, I understand some students may have less flexible schedules due to school or work, so I offer classes from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your needs. I hope that, as a native speaker and a language learner myself, I will be able to offer more insight into realistic phrases for day-to-day use, and share the joy of learning a new language as well as the fascinating culture that comes with it.

I volunteered with Kayla at our Universities nightline and worked closely with her on the exec. Kayla was always very welcoming and kind, especially to new comers who she always made a point to include in conversations- both work related and social. Despite being very friendly Kayla also seemed very diligent when it came to her duties in the exec: I don't think she ever skipped a meeting or training despite their long and often boring nature. I loved working with Kayla and think she would be a great tutor.
