About Marta
I am a teacher with a teaching certificate from Cambridge and a degree in Hispanic and French Studies. Specialized in preparation for Cambridge exams (PET, First, CAE), and general English courses. I have worked with students of all levels (A1-C2) and of all ages (from 2 years old). I teach in Seville where I have also been the director of studies at a private academy. Before moving to Seville, I taught in the United Kingdom (Center of English Studies) and France (baccalaureate preparation). I have also given private classes in a community education center and a higher education faculty.

My methodology is adapted for each of the students. Each one has a personal learning style, for that reason I give structured and dynamic classes according to the needs of the student. First, I make an initial evaluation of the methodology used, in order to adapt them according to your needs. One of my goals is to motivate my students to use English outside of class. That is to say, the objectives of my classes do not depend so much on the presentation of vocabulary and written exercises but to the development of your communication, fluency and comprehension in all four linguistic abilities. To achieve these goals, I use a variety of recognized methods. I will take into account the personal situation of the student, how much time you have outside the class to devote to your language learning and the deadlines they may have in obtaining a degree or job. I prefer to maintain the 'English-only' policy because I believe that this immersion will serve you well in the development of your communication and understanding effectively. However, I think that sometimes there are ideas that can not be expressed in both languages. That is, in translating directly we risk failed communication. There are specific words and cultural ideas that exist in Spanish but not in English, and vice versa.
