About Joshua
My name is Joshua Kian, I'm a friendly university and CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) graduate offering English language tutoring in Cambridge. I'm enthusiastic about teaching and love working with students of all cultures and walks of life. I'm a keen traveller, environmentalist and also work part-time as a Cambridge tour guide whilst running my own website.
I have four years of one-two-one and classroom teaching experience in the UK, Latin America and Asia.
As an English language tutor I've worked with students of all nationalities and cultures, from teenage years through to mature adults. I've also spent a year teaching in Vietnam and have worked with a number of Cambridge language schools. I've worked within the British National Curriculum with children in primary and secondary years, focusing on primary and GCSE English. I am DBS registered and currently work part-time as a supply teacher specialising in English and SEN (Special Educational Needs).
I'm a very friendly and approachable teacher! The aim of my lessons is to be personally suited to the student, as I believe no two learners are the same and I feel this should be reflected in the teaching. For this reason I work closely with students to ensure that content and delivery of my lessons are ideal for them
