About Nicolas
Hi! I'm Nicolas, a 22-year-old French engineering student from Paris, currently on a gap year in Sydney. French is my first language — so you'll be learning from someone who lives and breathes it every day.
I offer lessons because I genuinely enjoy meeting people and sharing my culture. I previously tutored students back in France, and my engineering background has taught me to break complex things down into simple, digestible steps — which turns out to be pretty useful when teaching a language.

My approach to teaching French is simple: less grammar on paper, more real conversation. I want my students to actually speak — from the very first lesson.
Before coming to Australia, I tutored students back in France, which gave me a good sense of how to adapt to different levels and learning styles.
As a native speaker from Paris, I can also offer something no textbook can — authentic pronunciation, everyday expressions, and the kind of French people actually use.
Whether you're a total beginner, preparing for a trip to France, or looking to regain confidence after years without practice, I'll build each session around your specific goals.
Lessons typically last one or two hours and take place in a café or library of your choice, or even at your place — relaxed, no pressure :)
I teach all levels (beginner to intermediate) and all ages. Whether you're a student, a working professional, or just someone curious about the language, you're welcome.
