About Romane
Hi everyone! My name is Romane, and I'm excited to be your French teacher. I’m originally from France, where I developed a strong passion for languages and for sharing my culture with others. I’ve had the chance to work with children of different ages and levels in several countries. My goal is to make each lesson engaging and practical, so you feel more confident speaking and understanding French in real situations.

I have one year of experience in private tutoring in France, helping students (Years 7-9) with their homework (literature, mathematics, science, latin). Additionally, I have experience as a school assistant in South Africa, where I supported young children in early learning (preschool and primary levels), and in Indonesia, where I worked with middle school students to develop their English language abilities.
I use an interactive, student-centered approach to teaching French, focusing on communication and real-life context to help students engage with the language naturally. I use a mix of conversational practice, grammar exercises, and cultural immersion. I design lessons that encourage students to think, speak, and write in French, incorporating tools like visual aids, role-play scenarios, and multimedia resources.
Each lesson is 1 hour, allowing for a comprehensive session with time to review previous material, introduce new topics, and practice speaking and listening skills.
My lessons are tailored for middle and high school students (Years 7-12), including beginner and intermediate levels, as well as anyone looking to strengthen their foundational French skill!
