Super tutor

Rafael is one of our best Brazilian portuguese tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Rafael

My name is Rafael Donaire and I will accompany you along this journey to achieve your independence in Portuguese.

I have been a Portuguese teacher for over 10 years, founder and CEO of YouChange, an online language teaching platform. I am passionate about language teaching and learning, with experience teaching students of different nationalities, profiles and levels.

Fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, I have lived in 5 countries, visited several others. I know in practice the difficulties when it comes to learning a new language and I know what and how you need to learn to speak a new language with confidence.

I have a TOEFL certificate in English language proficiency, a DALF certificate in French language and an MBA in International Business Management, I have developed my career in direct contact with other cultures and nationalities and a wide background teaching languages at different levels.

About the lesson

Individual and personalized classes in Portuguese according to your needs so that you can evolve quickly, have the security and independence to communicate and take advantage of the opportunities that are already waiting for you.

Exclusive and personalized methodology, customized for different objectives:
- Present work meetings
- Take an international trip
- Get the job of your dreams
- Make your exchange
- Study in Portuguese-speaking countries

You need a personalized learning plan according to your objective: If you want to learn Portuguese for business, it makes no sense to listen to fictional dialogues that would take place in a restaurant, as what you need is to develop conversational skills that will be used in your work environment.

Customized Teaching Plan according to your goals:

Before starting our classes, we will define your Teaching Plan together, customizing all the contents that we will work in our classes, navigating within one of the following methodologies:

- Portuguese Custom:
The fastest and most practical way for you to develop the construction of a specific vocabulary and improve the conversation exactly on the important topics for your context. For example, if you work with finance and want to develop your communication in this area to progress in the work, our classes will be directed to the subject "Finance" and all materials and methodologies will be built around this theme.

- Universal Portuguese:
A proprietary methodology that covers several essential topics within the Portuguese language, for you to gain practical experience and advance in the field of your communication. The methodology is based on the Common European Framework of Languages, an international standard for leveling and knowledge of languages, and follows the contents and logic of this world-renowned system. Conducting your learning and development from level A1 (beginner) to level C2 (advanced).

Much more than a simple class:

My students receive as a bonus a series of extra content to enhance and accelerate their development in Portuguese, with everything needed to acquire a rich vocabulary with expressions and language resources that give them much more confidence to communicate.

Check out all the bonuses you get when you become my student:

- Total Immersion
You will have a total immersion in Portuguese. All of our classes, and conversations inside and outside of class times, will be 100% in English. Need to reschedule class? You will have to ask me in Portuguese. The goal is for you to live Portuguese intensely and get used to using the language at all times.

- Individual mentor
More than someone who will give you some content during class time, I will be at your disposal to answer your questions about grammar, expressions, vocabulary and any other questions that appear outside of class time.

- Courseware
You receive, at no additional cost, all the teaching material necessary for our classes. Materials such as texts, videos, audios and exercises will be made available for each class.
