About Jeanette
I love school! School should be fun! To me, teaching is not a job. It is a calling. When I had my own classroom, I began the school year with a PowerPoint presentation. I introduced myself to my new learners. They found out that I had no children of my own and that they were now my family. And as my family, we would get to know each other, support each other, and on occasion, we would disagree with each other. They discovered that I liked to learn new things, and I liked them to be the teacher. I believe that not all learning is done with paper and pencil or even a computer. Hands-on activities are the best. If the lesson is fun, the learning is easy, and school is the place to be!

"I don't know..."I always encourage my students to use those words whenever they need help understanding their assignments. I remember using those words myself and I remember the confusion and frustration when my teacher did not help me. I never want my students to feel that uncomfortable feeling. So, I try as many ways, silly and serious to help learners. The reward is hearing a student say "I get it now".
