About Clarissa
I graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics with Economics. I have been tutoring math to individual students for over 12 years. I scored 35 on the ACT math section in 2014, 5's on AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics, and 164 on the GRE quantitative section.

I strongly believe in a multi-faceted approach to teaching math by learning from each individual student how they will best learn and retain the subject. I use physical models, examples from everyday life, visuals, auditory aids, and hands-on activity to make math fun for my students.
I will work together with the student to draft goals and timelines to meet objectives at a pace that will challenge but not overwhelm the student. I am available to tutor any and all levels of math K-12 up to and including Calculus 1, 2, and 3.
