About Joel
Music captured my attention early through the resonance of string vibrations. 13 years of experience have allowed me to teach violin after a long career on stage.
My work includes mastering double stops and left hand agility for students of all backgrounds. I cover ABRSM and Trinity grade exam prep along with spiccato bowing technique.
You will also learn to tune by ear and refine your scales and arpeggios. Understanding music theory remains a constant focus during our sessions. I genuinely enjoy watching students find their unique voice.

Beginning with a diagnostic assessment is the most effective way to identify your current technique. Most players assume they need to drill scales for hours to see improvement. I apply my MMus from The Juilliard School to fix specific mechanical errors instead. 8.0.
