About Newton
I started from scratch like most people and have spent years learning and working with some of the best teachers and engineers in the industry. My experience has led me to understand that most times, the way programming is presented at first is the key to whether or not an individual will find the passion and interest to pursue this career. I have a Bachelor's degree in Software Development and Analysis (graduated Summa Cum Laude) and a Master's Degree in Software Engineering (Penn State). I always want my students to know that they can become software engineers by helping them understand the what and why of development.

I focus on helping students relate computer programming to things they see everyday. A combination of programming concepts and hands-on experience to prepare them for entry level development jobs.
I have over 11 years of experience as a software engineer and have worked in different industries and on different projects. My teaching method prepares students for the challenges of a typical work place.
This class is set up for current graduates who feel like they aren't prepared to pursue a career in development yet and also for individuals who wants to learn about software development from scratch.
