About Christina
I have taught private voice lessons for more than 25 years. I hold a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan and I love teaching opera, art song, Broadway, pop, and sacred music. I performed leading roles from the standard operatic repertoire including Cio Cio San (Madama Butterfly), Floria Tosca (Tosca), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Violetta (La Traviata), Nedda (Pagliacci), Mimi and Musetta (La Bohème), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Marguerite (Faust), Micaela (Carmen), Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutte), Leonora (Il Trovatore), Alice Ford (Falstaff), and Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow).
My main goals in teaching voice are to help you discover your authentic voice and to trust your body. Using music, breath, relaxation, and movement, we will work together to help you listen to your own body's wisdom and to help you discover more strength, beauty, resilience, creativity, confidence, and joy - whether that is on a stage or in every day life.

- I take a flexible and integrative approach in voice lessons that is tailored to your specific learning needs and goals. We start from where you are at and create a plan together to help you develop your artistry and master your vocal technique.
- A typical lesson starts with discussion about your short-term and long-term musical goals; breathing exercises; vocal technique exercises; and song preparation and interpretation. For those who are interested, we can also work on musical theory, sight-singing, or preparing for auditions or competitions.
- I have been teaching voice and have performed in operas, oratorios, and solo concerts for over 25 years. I love helping people discover their authentic voice and develop confidence in their artistry.
- Lessons are for people 10 years and above. All levels are warmly welcomed!
