About Cody
Hi! I’m Cody, a career educator, academic coach, and STEM specialist with over ten years of experience helping students discover their academic potential. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching focused on urban education and curriculum design, along with New York State certification. My background spans eight years teaching in NYC dual-language, Title I middle schools, as well as personalized instruction in specialized private academies.
My approach to education is simple: real learning happens through active inquiry, problem-solving, and meaningful connections. Whether guiding students through middle school math and science or navigating language instruction, I focus on creating a supportive, high-rigor environment where students build deep conceptual understanding. I do not just teach students how to find the answer for tomorrow's quiz; I teach them how to think critically, ask great questions, and develop long-term academic independence.
Outside of the classroom, I am a continuous learner, language enthusiast (fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian), and a firm believer that every student deserves an inspiring, empowering education tailored to how they learn best.
