About Sophie

Hi! I’m Sophie Meierovich, a recent graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. I recently worked as a research coordinator on a multi-site NIH-funded study, and I’ve spent the last several years combining my academic training with a passion for helping students succeed. I scored a 1570 on the SAT (790 Math, 780 English) and have completed rigorous coursework, including AP BC Calculus, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and Honors Physics, as well as advanced college-level chemistry, biology, and math at Vassar. My academic journey also includes five years of research experience at Weill Cornell Medicine and Vassar, and I’m proud to be published in the Microbe Directory.

About the lesson

Over the past five years, I’ve worked with more than a dozen students across a range of subjects—SAT prep, math, science, writing—and I tailor each session to meet students where they are, building confidence and clarity along the way. As a former member of my high school math team and someone who has worked closely with top-tier educators, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a compassionate, results-oriented tutoring style.
