About Rita
I have been teaching and tutoring reading for more than 15 years. I’ve tutored online since 2017. I’ve helped kids with dyslexia, ADHD, and various processing disorders (auditory, visual, language, etc.). I take professional development courses throughout the year to make sure I am up to date with the latest research and to ensure I am delivering instruction using best practices.

Learning to read is a right, not a privilege. Kids who struggle with reading feel ashamed. They avoid reading because they don’t want to be made fun of. With each passing week, month, and year they lose confidence and start to believe they will never catch up to their peers. They might even start believing they are not smart.
As a parent, you are worried. You might be seeing your child falling behind in other subjects at school, avoiding doing homework, crying because school is hard, and even begging you to stay home.
With the right instruction your child CAN and WILL learn to read.
I provide 1:1 tutoring at your child’s pace. Lessons are customized to your child’s needs. Sessions include writing and reading because they are connected. Instruction is explicit, systematic, and prescriptive using activities that teach the foundational skills of reading, writing, and spelling and then they are immediately applied.
Your child’s reading will improve in weeks or months, not after years of boring scripted lessons.
