About Elena

I am a Singaporean currently studying an undergraduate degree in London. Being born and bred in Singapore, where bilingualism is highly regarded, I am confident of my language skills in both Mandarin and English. I love to read and watch Chinese shows which helps me to improve my vocabulary and fall in love with the language even more. I am an enthusiastic and outgoing person who loves to meet new people and share my knowledge. As a student, I understand how mundane lessons can be and I will try my best to teach in a fun and interesting way!

About the lesson

I believe the best way to learn a language as complicated as Mandarin is through constantly conversing with people and widely reading. As a tutor, not only will I teach you the basic wordings and phrasing, I will also understand your personal interests and tailor my lessons to make it more engaging for you. I am able to personalise lesson materials and make them from scratch, as well as recommend you interesting shows or books to improve your language. You will be able to contact me when you need help and I will be ready to reply :)
