About Mary
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience, working with school students, college students, and working professionals. My passion for music and education allows me to create lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding each student's goals and building a learning plan that suits their needs. I believe that every student can learn guitar with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. Whether you are a beginner or looking to improve your skills, I provide step-by-step instruction to help you progress confidently.
I teach guitar fundamentals, chords, scales, strumming techniques, fingerstyle playing, rhythm training, and song performance. I also help students learn music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance skills.
I use practical exercises, interactive learning methods, and real songs to make lessons engaging and enjoyable. My goal is to help students develop confidence, creativity, and a strong foundation in music while making the learning journey fun and rewarding.

My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that music education should be enjoyable, practical, and accessible to everyone. Through compassion and support, I help students learn at their own pace while maintaining steady progress.
I teach Guitar using practical demonstrations and step-by-step guidance. Beginners learn rhythm, finger exercises, and basic chords, while intermediate and advanced students work on scales, improvisation, fingerstyle techniques, and stage performance.
I emphasise the importance of consistency and discipline. Students are encouraged to practise regularly and set realistic goals. Regular feedback helps them identify strengths and improve areas that require additional attention.
Along with Guitar, I also teach music theory, rhythm studies, ear development, and basic composition skills. These subjects strengthen overall musical understanding and help students become more versatile musicians.
My aim is to help students enjoy the learning process and develop confidence in their abilities.
